"You are as much serving God in looking after your own children, and training them up in God's fear, and minding the house, and making your household a church for God, as you would be if you had been called to lead an army to battle for the Lord of hosts."
~Charles Spurgeon

Conquering Mt. Laundry

As I prepare for tomorrow, I look over to the hallway and there it is...AGAIN...MT. LAUNDRY! I'm pretty much doing laundry everyday. With all the clothes changes the kids make and the bed sheets that need to be washed I'm always wondering, "Will it ever end?" NO.

Laundry is one of those chores that seems to never get checked off my list. Then I think about how fortunate I am to have a washer and dryer. I can't even imagine having to wash all these clothes & sheets BY HAND! I commend the men and women of the past and present who continue to launder this way.

That's funny, Jean.

Psalm 116: 1-9

I love the LORD, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.

Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.

The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came upon me;
I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.

Then I called on the name of the LORD :
"O LORD, save me!"

The LORD is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.

The LORD protects the simplehearted;
when I was in great need, he saved me.

Be at rest once more, O my soul,
for the LORD has been good to you.

For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,

that I may walk before the LORD
in the land of the living.
